Did you find yourself at Lagos Fashion & Design Week’s second day of shows? Fear not if you didn’t make it, as we’ve a look at all the action from backstage to the front row and the catwalk here in our recap of the event.
From model mayhem backstage to star-spotting on the Frow, you don’t want to miss what went on at the catwalk extravaganza that is LFDW, so check it out here below.
Backstage
It was another busy day backstage at the event
We caught designer Adebayo Oke-Lawal of Orange Culture perfecting his models before his showcase
The details from Orange Culture’s Spring/Summer’16 collection
Models at Orange Culture posing in their silk neck scarves
Once again, makeup artist Dave Sucre went to work on model’s faces…
We caught model Uju Marshall looking fly pre-show in her colourful look
…And Tonye Garrick also stopped by for a touch up
Of course, with the makeup being so on point, models made sure there was time to take selfies
We loved seeing the clothes up close before each collection walked the ramp

The Front Row
There were plenty of style going on, both on and off of the runway too…
Temi Otedola and Noble Igwe were seen looking great and taking pics on the Frow
As were Elle contributing editor, Dimeji Alara and stylist Bolaji Animashaun, who also took plenty of photos of models on the runway
Bubu Ogisi (far left)was seen with blogger and TV host, Denola Grey
…And top vlogger and photographer Yagazie Emezi was also on the Frow again, looking lovely in green (see her outfit in full here in her LFDW photo diary)
The second day at LFDW brought all sorts of amazing things to the catwalk, to admire from the front row…

The Catwalk
We may have seen it in showcase before, but we could never get tired of looking at Adebayo Oke-Lawal’s Spring/Summer’16
And the finale walk from Orange Culture? Brilliant. Love the flower gags.
For label Lola, it was also a flower thing, with floral prints all over
The palette of blue and white petals did however break for a pastel yellow and tie-dye print look that we can see ourselves in next season
There was a lot to love at Wanger Ayu, if you like the colour blue…
The designer created a whole collection around it, and we can’t say we didn’t enjoy it
For the designer at Vedel, Spring/Summer’s all about the big day out, with pretty dresses topped with extravagant headpieces
The hues went from powder pink to black but the collection remained feminine throughout
Akpos Akudu was also about that pretty pink life…
And who else thinks Rihanna may have inspired this look? The singer rocking a pink ball gown like this, once upon a red carpet
From Chechi Arinze there were more girly delights
Again a lot of pink provided the theme and more headpieces to show off at Spring’s best ‘dos
House of Marie brought us unique pieces and even ended with a bride…
…While Josh Samuels brought slick suit wear and channelled traditional vibes with his collection
At Moofa, things took a floral turn – from quirky ensembles in multicolour to ultra femme gowns and flower crowns
For Ejiro Amos Tafiri, there were sheer textures, billowed sleeves and ruffles
…While talk of the town Gozel Green went with a simple, colour-blocked theme
…Dotting shift dresses with circles in bold hues, there was a playful edge that those on the Frow seemed to really like
Maybelline partnered with Kinabuti for a mini showcase, exhibiting interesting beauty looks with reworked Maybelline slogan tees
And Orente Ayaba celebrated the city, with a dress in scroll, with Lagos written across it
Meddle Lane made dungarees look like a good idea for guys
And providing a good chance to see her recently-revealed collection up close, Loza Maleombho had models dancing in her ideas for Spring/Summer’16
The designer herself looked super stylish too.. No wonder she made H&M’s Autumn/Winter’15 campaign (which you can see, here)
There were more pinks for Spring from Onalaja, with Team SPICE loving this tuxedo dress…
…And is that another Rih-inspired dress we see?
Revamp O made cute outfits we could so see Temi Dollface wearing…
And Maki Oh closed Day 2 with her beautifully crafted designs
From ruffles to wiggling hems, there was nothing we don’t want from this collection…
Looking forward to Day 3? Us too! And whether you’ve tickets or not, remember to visit the site here daily to find out what else Team SPICE saw at Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015.
