Day three at Lagos Fashion & Design Week was amazing from every angle, including backstage, front row and on the catwalk.
Weren’t there to experience it first hand? Take a look at our visual recap of the event here below.
Backstage
We spied plenty of kicks lined up ready to walk the ramp
MUA Lola Maja worked her magic on models’ faces
Designer Hazel Aggrey-Orleans of Eki Orleans was seen taking a moment before her show
The backstage hustle made momentum before the showcases kicked off

The Front Row

The Catwalk
Iconic Invanity got cute for Spring/Summer’16 with floral motifs and hot pants…
While Meena went left with unusually-placed swathes of fabric
Team SPICE love this twinset from the range especially
At Red Knight, male models rocked slick stuff intended for next season
While Wuman played with Egyptian-inspired prints on dresses and skirts
At Deji, there were mismatched suits to choose from, paired with strappy sandals
Nuraniya played with neon pink and lime, bouncing off grey for a high-low palette
And Titi Bello dipped from powder pink, to black and lemon with her range…
We at SPICE loved the unusual silhouettes and the wrap details she presented
It was a similar colour theme for McMeka too, who also presented womenswear on his catwalk
…It was the mono-toned men’s suits that stood out for us though
Also on board with the pink and yellow theme was Reni Smith…
While Dzyn went for black to break up reds, white and yellow, amidst a floral brocade and polka dot print
We were pleased to see LaurenceAirlines on the ramp at LFDW…
The menswear label also put a girl on the catwalk, in a cute set of shorts and a shirt we can see ourselves rocking next season
Should we marry though, we might just do it in Toju Foye, who brought bridalwear to the runway
…Every look was topped with a fanciful headpiece that the crowd appreciated
Skipping us straight from imaginary wedding ceremonies to the honeymoon pool, Andrea Inyama’s collection of swimwear was pretty inspiring…
The brand’s signature cutout and sculpting of the body via print seems the way forward for poolside fun next season
Kelechi Odu’s lineup was clearly intended for guys looking to exude a certain sort of ‘cool’
…While Sunny Rose used headbands and prints to appeal to the boho babe in all of us
And at Eki Orleans, the look was predictably cute, flirty and fun with the designer using her signature silk prints to make an impact
We loved the blue, green and black palette of menswear at Mai Atafo…
…And are ready to jump into this twinset from his female range for Spring/Summer’16
Though this caped, printed number from Washington Roberts also spoke to us, alongside other jewel-toned pieces from the range
