Wana Sambo’s eponymous brand has always been about her style, whatever she loves she designs, a dictator of her own taste one could say. And over the years we’ve seen the brand evolve as the designer’s personal preferences evolve with age and experience.
This collection showed a “Wana” that has explored and tried things and has come to settle for the simple things in life. But oh no simple with Wana Sambo isn’t boring. Wana has managed to infuse her rebel traits into the collection with the most sophisticated execution. White dominated the runway but with patches of hot red lace here and there and a white coat was completely lined with red floral print for teasing flashes when a woman moves. The gold and midnight blue suit with the deep V-neckline was Wana reminding us that the Wana Sambo spunk has gone nowhere just merely tamed. And we can see celebrities gracing red carpets in the gowns she sent down the runway. Wana Sambo is indeed one to watch out for every season.
