Revealing a line of beautiful things to lust after while we soak up Fashion Week in Ghana and those headed for Nigeria and Uganda, Deola Sagoe’s daughters, Teni, Aba and Tiwa Sagoe – the talents behind rising label Clan – have just dropped their Spring/Summer’16 lookbook for their “Tarsus” collection.
Starring TV personality Zainab Balogun as its face, the collection, according to the designers, was inspired by “the love between Anthony and Cleopatra” and;
“Cleopatra’s legacy and exemplary life as a woman who channelled her intellect and inner strength to achieve her goals.”
Captured by Lakin Ogunbanwo, the lookbook presents beautiful and sophisticated shapes – some reminding us of Deola’s own style signatures – as well as wide-hemmed sleeves and trousers, plus drapey, cape details, sheer coverings and stripes.
