While Team SPICE are thinking about ‘Movement’ this month, Nigerian womenswear label FIA have dropped a new collection lookbook that implies a move back to clashing prints is really, really wise.
In the lookbook, lensed by Wizi Official, the “Falsetto” collection includes dogtooth, check and ankara print, modelled by Sinto Diako in wild, foresty terrain.
But brand’s three designers – Funke, Ijeoma and Abi, whose names form the brand title – are not just urging us to pile up on pattern; the new collection sees an unusual layering of garments to create the sort of looks that’ll gain you blogger-levels of likes.
While we’re not sure if it’s part of the design, or if indeed it is several designs being worn at once, we’re looking at our wardrobe in a whole new way, with the brand telling Bellanaija;
“Falsetto is inspired by all the women around us. We keep striving to elevate and rise above whilst navigating functional and feminine pieces.”
Inspired to wear more pieces, and with more prints all at once, the “Falsetto” lookbook is a must look at – which you can do here below before telling us your thoughts on FIA’s new range online @SPICETVAFRICA.
