Top South African designer Marianne Fassler has just revealed her Resort’15 collection, with the beautifully-complexioned Hauwa Dauda as its muse.
The range is said to ‘re-affirm the brand’s identity as being South African’, and representing ‘Joburg on a micro level and African on a macro level’, and includes brilliant and bold hues, plus a plethora of prints – the designer herself describing the garments as “a self-assured woman” and saying;
“…Collection is a continuum of influence with an undeniable freshness in the way it was approached. It underlines exoticism, relaxation and the brand’s unapologetic approach to maximalism.”
The lookbook was lensed by Paul Samuels at the designer’s home, with menswear designer Rich Mnisi and Ben Eagle directing Ms Dauda for the shoot.
