Just as we’re dwelling on ‘Movement’ this month, top Nigerian label Iconic Invanity goes and names its latest offering “Rhythm,” and has our hearts jumping at the mere sight of it.
The collection, which was first shown at the 2014 Lagos Fashion & Design Week, includes a range of dazzling, signature embellished dresses, crop tops and pencil skirts, adorned with dramatic, flowing capes and tribal touches – things worthy of hitting the red carpet with. And, modelled by the brand’s current face, Tansey Coetzee Sodeinde and lensed by Tope Horpload, the lookbook serves to tempt you into finding an event worthy of one of its pieces.
Designer Nancy Nwadire explained of the lineup;
“For this collection I was drawn once again to the beauty and strength of the Iconic Invanity woman and her journey, dreams, culture, explorations and discoveries.
Sometimes, the woman is King. Secure, powerful, bold and courageous dancing to the rhythm of her beat.”
We at SPICE love the regal colour palette of red, while, black and blue, said to symbolise Ms Nwadire’s passions in music, art, culture and her heritage – but take a look at Iconic Invanity’s 2015v”Rhythm” collection here below and tell us what (or who) you can see in it.
