Brazil-born designer Loza Maléombho, who has lived between the Ivory Coast and the United States, has returned – following an impressive art series of selfies, titled “Alien Edits” – with an Autumn/Winter’15 collection, titled “Alien Nation.”
With the talent influenced by West Africa and motivated against the discrimination African Americans face in the US judiciary system, Ms Maléombho creates her eclectic designs with locally manufactured, indigo-dyed fabrics, shoes and accessories, leaping to the fore of our thinking on what one might wear come Fall
In the lookbook, we are also shown how each piece might be worn, with garments in the range caught mid-motion – their fringed, tied-together and mesh-hemmed sihlouettes jumping out of each shot and onto our next seaosn wishlists.
See Loza Maléombho’s 2015 “Alien Nation” collection here in the lookbook below and tell us in the comments box if you’ll be out to get it by Autumn/Winter;
