And, with its extraordinary range of pieces – each designed to capture an elegant, female aesthetic that includes bold statements in tailored shapes and retro prints – we at SPICE predict this will be a story with real staying power.Akinsola’s inspirations for prints seems to have come from everywhere, using her own photography, paintings and drawings to reimagine pearl divers and hop front windows onto powerful two-pieces and decadent dresses. The label also boasts it’s fine tailored garments in luxury fabrics, as well as creating intricate workings that are embroidered with beautiful gold detailing.
For its debut lookbook, lensed by photographer Sophie. P and styled by the designer herself, Pearls & Portraits debuts the first of its ranges and we at SPICE can’t wait to see the next.
