Popular Nigerian label, Sanusi Lagos continues to build on their growing brand with the launch of their Spring/Summer’15 collection “Royal Bloom,” which also debuts their diffusion line of womenswear.
The label – popular with artists such as Ice Prince, Wizkid and Iyanya, to name a few – was founded by celebrity stylist Seyi Sanusi and UK-based fashion designer Adesola Obebe, blending the best of both their roles to create a fusion of luxury street wear. And, with the lookbook shot by photographer Kez Coo and modelled by Serghinio Giovanni Wooter, Jerome Letrone and Brooklyn Malika Sang, it’s clear to see why interest in the duo’s creations are rising.
For “Royal Bloom,” the label includes commissioned artwork by graphic artists Toby Emmanuel and Elizabeth Butrimova, which appears on t-shirts infused with exotic leaves and vibrant watercolours, alongside geometric shapes on two-pieces and abstract paintings on trendy headgear – perfect pieces for the Sanusi target clientele.
We at SPICE especially love how Sanusi have added their own take on fashion-meeting-art, with our fave picks being the “Aida” two-piece for the ladies and a tie between the “Mani” and “Dark Khari” tee for men.
