While the catwalk of Fashion Weeks worldwide continue to tempt us to think about next season, Senegalese talent Selly Raby Kane brings us a beautiful Spring/Summer’16 collection, entitled “A Day with Miss N’Diaye.”
Made up of a mixture of tropical prints, florals, feminine shapes and androgynous elements, the collection is based on a short tale, which the brand reveals to be about;
“…the Selly Raby Kane girl [who] becomes a pilgrim in her grandmother’s house.
She steals a pair of filigree Ngalam earrings, embellishes her collar, digs deep into the old Dakar for its romanticism, its effortless style, its economical optimism and the mythical elegance of the Senegalese woman.“
Lensed by Siaka Traore in an old colonial home and modelled by Aida Sock, the lookbook is one to fall for when looking for inspiration for your next season wardrobe.
