Nigerian-born singer-songwriter, Helen Isibor of The Venus Bushfires debuts her first foray into fashion, drawing from her many talents to create a Spring/Summer’14 collection, titled “Future Nostalgia.”
Collaborating with her cousin, who produces each piece using African fabrics found within their great aunt’s store in Benin City, Nigeria, Ms Isibor also models the pieces throughout the vivid lookbook, shot by Marianne MarpLondon. The designer also whimiscally states;
“We are homesick most for the places we have never known.”
Consisting of African print dresses, capes, jackets, trousers and head ties – all set against an oriental theme – we at SPICE love the lookbook and welcome Helen’s work onto the fashion scene.
