As we at SPICE begin a month thinking on a ‘love of fashion,’ leaders in wax print, Vlisco are giving us plenty of reason to cuddle up to our wardrobes, with the new “Think” collection bringing another bundle of brilliant fabric and ideas on how to wear them.
Designed with inspirations to “think outside the box” and bring “new traditions,” the lineup sees all sorts of shades of reds, greens, blues and orange piled a-top each other and exuding a classy take on cocktailwear that honestly, we’d wear anywhere. But as you might’ve guessed by its name, there’s more thought to the collection than just bold colour and mixed prints – signatures of the label – with Vlisco stating;
“This season, we explore powerful cultural and family ties with Vlisco, which has become such an intimate part of the circle of life in Africa. This journey might well stir nostalgic emotions within you, it’s something we’ve felt ourselves as we’ve delved deep into our extensive archive uncovering hidden treasures of design and stories of generations gone by.
This new collection consists of a dazzling array of new fabrics heavily inspired by the architectural and minimalistic world of Bauhaus, one of the first schools of design in Germany.”
With the resulting range being another round of fine fabrics that’ll create the best of bespoke showpieces, we at SPICE are excited to invest in some now and see them passed down our family wardrobes over the coming years.
