Nick Barose – the man behind actress Lupita Nyong’o’s stunning makeup looks, including that of her Oscar moment earlier this year – has revealed the secrets to stealing her beauty look in a short how-to video.
Talking to Teen Vogue, Mr Barose shows a step-by-step on creating the simple, radiant evening look the actress wore to the 2014 Oscars (where she was spied collecting an award while simultaneously bringing back the headband), as well as giving tips on how to work with a dark complexion, which Lupita has become a champion of.
Barose explains;
“When you have a dark complexion, don’t be scared of colour… have fun with it.”
On working on Lupita’s famed, flawless face for the prestigious awards show earlier this year, the artist reveals;
“I wanted it to be more about her and not so much about the makeup.”
