New luxury concept store “Glitters Luxury Showroom” has just opened in Abuja – a high end retail store created by Chinyere Lillian Igwebe, bringing top labels like Versace, John Richmond and Alberta Ferretti, amongst others, to Nigeria’s capital city.
The unique outlet boasts a sophisticated collection of fragrances, clothes, shoes and accessories as well as furnishings and luggage, and is designed to service individuals who have an impeccable taste for quality and a thirst for fashion-forward aesthetics.
Located at Heroes Plaza, Wuse II, the store definitely looks the part, being a modern architectural building with an interior to reflect its stock. The store also offers a private VIP section for customers who want to shop discreetly, away from the crowds of customers the store is certain to draw.
According to its CEO, trend forecaster, Ms Igwebe;
“The luxury market in Nigeria is rapidly growing and the choice to open a luxury fashion outlet in Abuja will not only put Nigeria on a higher pedestal in the world of luxury retail but also create jobs, reduce capital flights and raise young entrepreneurs resulting in the emergence of new businesses, which will positively affect the economy.
It’s great that we can be in Nigeria and still enjoy global luxury brands through Glitters.”
News of the concept store comes shortly after Reni Foliwayo, founder of the soon-to-launch retail plaza, Alara, spoke to Style.com about her venture (read about that here), proving thoughts to boost Nigeria’s luxury shopping market is itself becoming a trend.
We at SPICE look forward to perusing the rails at Glitters soon though, with hopes to enjoy the new store’s stock as much as we do the look of it.
