While some of us may’ve forgotten The Simpsons in favour of Family Guy and other adult animated sitcoms like American Dad, makeup giants MAC Cosmetics are breathing beauty into the town of Springfield, launching a new collection with Marge Simpson as its protagonist and inspiration.
The new range – set for release this September – marks the cartoon series’ landmark celebration of 25 years onscreen, with the official Twitter page for The Simpsons being the first to break the news, followed by an announcement from MAC, reading;
“Springfield, Springfield! We’re launching a collection to celebrate 25 years of @TheSimpsons this fall. #MACandMARGE.”
Patient, well-meaning and the purveyor of good moral conduct, Marge is also a style icon – what with her signature blue beehive and single outfit. And, while there’s been zero info released following the announcement, we at SPICE are looking forward to MAC’s translation of Marge’s style into a what we predict will to be a collector’s makeup dream.
