After sharing numerous covers on YouTube of hit singles from Beyoncé to Lorde, Chloe x Halle, now 18 and 17 respectively, posted their cover of Beyoncé’s 2013 hit “Pretty Hurts” and the rest is history!
The said cover got so much traction, that even Beyoncé got wind of it. The sisters received an email from Queen Bey’s label, Parkwood Entertainment, and just two days later they found out Beyoncé herself was eager to sign them.

On first listen, you can feel Beyoncé’s influence in songs like “Used To Love” and “Too Much Sauce,” but this doesn’t take away from the creativity and individuality of Chloe and Halle.
The ladies’ vocals are both similar yet wildly different, but together, they merge beautifully like maple syrup on warm pancakes. Chloe’s voice packs a soulful punch and Halle’s tone is almost ethereal with jazzy inflections. Together their harmonies could give every 90s and 00s R&B group a run for their money.
