The wait is Finally over, four more days to the most highly anticipated event in history, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set to tie the knot on the 19th of May 2018 but reports leading up to the wedding does not seem so pleasant.
Marghan Markles father, Thomas Markle, told TMZ that he would not be attending the wedding ceremony of his daughter, that also means that he won’t be walking her down the aisle on Saturday. This insinuates that Marghan’s mum would have to perform daddy duties on that day, and that is if she doesn’t back out before the wedding.
Thomas made the decision of not attending the wedding after a backlash ensued when The Mail published photos of him preparing for the wedding, asides from the backlash, Thomas Markle also associates his absence from the hearth attack he encountered on 6 days ago, according to him, he does not want to “want to embarrass the royal family or his daughter,” these were TMZ’s words.
We can only imagine the level of pressure being out on Meghan Markle at the moment, she is the one who her father wont walk down the aisle, she is the one who wont get to see her father present on her big day, and we can only imagine the pain she is in at the moment. In a statement released from a spokesman from Kesington Palace, he says This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.”
One of the reasons for Thomas’s backlash was when the media found out that his Paparazi photos were staged, it means he wasn’t caught unawares but it was skillfully planned by his daughter, and the reason she gave was so that the media wont make her father look bad or the royal family look bad and that it wasn’t necessarily for the money. “The bad press over my father doing staged photos is my fault,” the media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family. We had no idea he would be taken advantage of. It was not for money.”
We sincerely hope for the best during the wedding, and hope that all this is resolved and Marghan gets to know the feeling of being walked down the aisle by your 73 year old father.
