We all know most times it gets tougher than we usually bargain for, it almost seems like the pause will last forever and your growth will be stagnant. when all this happens we tend to forget that quality takes time and there’s always a calm after the storm. We have legends today who were tossed out of the door for what they believed in and stood for, the difference between you and them is that they never stopped dreaming and believed that there’s always something better to come. Because of how much we love you and believe solely in your dreams, we put a list of Successful people who did not give up irrespective of their circumstances.
Shawn Corey Carter known as Jay-Z who grew up in the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn couldn’t get any record label to sign him. When he couldn’t get a single bite on his first CD’s, Jay-Z and his friends went ahead to sell the record out of the boot of their car next to Gray’s Papa. Today his sold more than 100 million records while receiving 21 Grammy Awards for his music. Jay-Z is worth $550 million according to Forbes. he owns so many businesses to his name with a trophy wife, singer and Song Writer, Beyonce.
J.K Rowling was a single mum Living off welfare when she began writing the first Harry Porter novel. Rowling has lived a ” rags to riches” life story, in which she progressed from living on state benefits to multi-millionaire status within five years. Rowling is now Internationally renowned for her seven-book  Harry Porter series and in US currency, became the first billionaire author in 2004.  She is the United Kingdom’s best-selling living author, with sales in excess of £238M she has also gained worldwide attention, won multiple awards, and sold more than 400 million copies.
Walt Disney was laid off at the age of 22 by an editor because “he lacked imagination and had no original ideas.” we are totally sure the editor wishes he could take back his words. His first animation company went bankrupt and its said that he was turned down hundreds of times when he sought financing for Disney World. The creator of Mickey and Minnie Mouse went on to be nominated for 59 Academy Awards, winning 32, all for his unparalleled animations. He still holds the record for the most Oscars won by an individual, according to WaltDisney.com. The Walt Disney company makes average revenue of U.S. $30 billion annually.
Vera Wang failed to make the 1968 Olympic Figure Skating Team, she gave up on being part of the Olympic team and went ahead to be a successful and respected editor at Vogue, but came up against the same wall: After 17 years at Vogue, she realized that what she was doing there was never going to change. Her career wasn’t going to go any further at Vogue. Wang was at a point where she felt there had to be more. So after investing yet another 15 years in a career that really meant something to her, she left. This must have been a very painful decision to make and a risky one at that but she had to follow her dreams. Enough said Vera Wang is happy and successful as the head designer of her own brand. she began designing wedding gowns at the age of 40 and today is one of the premier designers in the fashion industry, with a business worth over $1 billion. In Vera Wang’s words “Don’t be afraid of failing, i think not trying is worse than failing.
 Opray Winfrey was publicly laid off [this seems to be very common among all these billionaires, it doesn’t mean you should crave to be laid off, sometimes bad things need to happen before you realize your real worth] from her first television job as an anchor at Baltimore for getting “too emotionally invested in her stories.” well, those stories have a fortune for her today, ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ became one of the highest ranking shows in American history, according to CNN. In 2011, Oprah was the best-paid female in the entertainment industry, according to Forbes Magazine, and remains the richest self-made woman and only black female billionaire.  Opray is worth a whopping $3 billion, according to Forbes.
One outstanding factor common with the persons mentioned above is that they were not stuck in a situation, if Walt Disney had not pursued his dreams, there would be no Disney world, if J.k Rowling did not sit up and believe in the goals she set to achieve, there would be no Harry Porter [ the fiction character is so real you would forget its only someone’s imaginative creation. We could go on, the list is endless, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, Lady Gaga and so many other successful people today believed in one thing “There’s Always Something Better to come”.
