While Fashion Weeks continue and we begin a new month, our must-have this Monday comes in the form of some fancy version of one of our favourite childhood pastimes: colouring-in – with renowned publication, Vogue Magazine having just announced the launch one designed for adults.
The Vogue Colouring Book, which will be released in November, includes hand-drawn illustrations derived from images in the Vogue archives, including designs that are inspired by pages of the magazine during the ’50s, including Christian Dior cocktail dresses and ball gowns by Balenciaga, Givenchy, Chanel and more.
Vogue said the new book, which is sure to become a collector’s item, is;
“…An opportunity to add a personalised creative touch to the time-honoured fashions featured in the drawings, reimagining the colours and patterns as you would like to see them.”
Written and illustrated by Iain R.Webb, the book also provides style tips taken from pages of Vogue’s old editions, providing “amusing” insight into the fashion trends of the time, and readers are also encourage to show off their colouring-ins online on Instagram, tagging their pics with the hashtag #voguecolouringbook.
We at SPICE think lovers of fashion and Vogue alike should add this one to their Christmas wish list, or better still, snap one up before they sell out when they launch next month.
