Top luxury fashion house, Dior has been given the silver screen treatment, with a new stylish documentary – Dior and I – set to detail the inner workings of the brand.
Packed full of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage detailing Raf Simons’ sudden 2012 appointment as creative director of Dior, the movie shows all the work that went into Raf’s first collection and showcase, which was put together in just 8 weeks.
In the official trailer, Mr Simons’ says;
“I find the legacy of Dior rather challenging… Couture is new to me.”
The showcase was set against a backdrop of flowers – a reflection of Christian Dior’s obsession with them – with more than a million lining the walls of the venue. Other nods to the history of the brand came via the reinvention of the iconic Bar jacket, which met rave reviews from the fashion pack who witnessed the show.
Also getting top nods is the documentary by Frederic Tcheng (the official trailer for which you can see below), which has been referred to as ‘one of the realest fashion films yet.’
