Over 100 designers, exhibitors to feature at Africa Fashion Week in London

The 7th edition of Africa Fashion Week is set to take at the Great hall of the Freemasons in London (Aug.11, 2017 and Aug.12, 2017) with over 100 African fashion designers and exhibitors will feature at the anticipated event. African Fashion Designers have definitely created a niche for themselves in the global market with designers from Ghana, Togo, Kenya, South Africa, Congo, Tanzania, Mozambique, Senegal, Uganda and Cameroon all set to showcase their exotic creations at the event.

A sneak peek into some of the Indigenous Nigerian designers to showcase at this year’s fashion week; Signature Secret, Neopele, Lady Biba, Step Up, Sheila Black Style, House of Bo and Joela Bags. Ronke Ademiluyi, founder, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria/London (AFWNL), mentioned that no fewer than 10,000 guests were expected to attend the two day event; this will also include 60 catwalk shows with daily exhibitions.

According to Ronke this year’s show will hold in two days with five shows, it is also set to host 60 designers on the catwalk alongside 40 exhibitors. One thing we are sure to expect from this year’s show is the promotion and celebration of African designs, talents and diverse ethnic influences that contribute to the development of fashion industry in the UK. We are definitely on our toes for Europe’s largest event for African and African inspired fashion. Ronke never disappoints when it comes to the promotion of the African culture, hence we expect the best turnout.
