SPICE: Hi Sisi! What does beauty mean to you?
Sisi Yemmie: Beauty is everything about a person, from their physical appearance to their personality and their charisma.
What is your day-to-day beauty routine?
It is quite simple: every morning and evening I take my bath and wash my face with a mild soap. I follow that up with a cleanser and I seal in the moisture with a moisturiser. That’s what it has been for over 7 months now.

Do you have a signature look?
I believe so. I always use a pencil to fill in my brows, I apply mascara, eyeliner, brown powder/foundation and usually a lip gloss. That’s my everyday look.
What’s your must-have beauty product?
This is tough but if I have to choose one, I’d say my brown brow pencil – I can’t go out without my brows filled, I’d feel naked!
If we were to open your makeup bag, what other brands and products would we find?
You would find MAC, Maybelline, Elf and Rimmel products.
What are your beauty dos and don’ts?
I never ever go to bed without taking my bath and cleansing my face. A beauty do is to moisturise skin.
Whose makeup do you always admire?
I love how Banke Meshida applies makeup – she transforms faces!
Can you please share an ‘oh no, I didn’t’ moment with us?
When I started playing with my face many years ago, I was trying to trim my brows and I actually shaved my entire brow off. It was so horrible!
Yikes! If you had to give just one beauty tip/piece of advice, what would it be?
Always clean your face. Your face is your mirror. A healthy skin is the best foundation for makeup.
If you could, what would you like to change in the beauty industry?
I would like to see more natural and organic skincare products and makeup, due to the growing awareness of the potential side effects of many artificial substances used in personal care items.
And lastly, what is your ultimate beauty fantasy?
My beauty fantasy is to have full groomed brows… I have a thing for full brows because they give a youthful look.
