This week, the red carpet had us thinking simple yet glamourous! And celebrities stepped out for a bevy of events during the week with that mantra clearly in mind – including everyone from Emma Watson in Oscar de la Renta, to Nollywood starlet Stephanie Linus in Vlisco.

First up, Cameron Diaz was seen sporting a Spring’14 Victoria Beckham minidress, with a pleated white peek-a-boo hem for 20th Century Fox’s presentation during CinemaCon in Las Vegas. We love the pleats and those endless pins… #Hotstuff
Next we have Solange Knowles, who attended the opening of Hugo Boss in Hong Kong, wearing a sequinned dress by the brand. And what’s not to love? This woman can do no wrong.
J.Lo sure knows how to rock a red dress! The American Idol judge was an absolute vision in a strapless crimson Lanvin number. Cant go wrong in something this well-tailored, especially if you possess this amount of curves!
Emma Watson (who also made it as our ‘Style Star’ of the week last week for this very outfit) served old school glamour at the premiere of ‘Noah’ in LA, and while some think this dress by Oscar de la Renta is a little too mature for her age, we think her studded ear cuff saved the look and that overall, she killed it.
Katy Perry wore an unusual but sizzling choice – a black and lime turtleneck Versace dress, which she chose for MOCA’s 35th Anniversary Gala Celebration. From certain angles this might be a bit of a ‘miss’, but we love the colours, the high neck and we applaud her risk.
Singer Christina Millan’s playful print blended in with the colourful 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards carpet, but we really like how fun, young and fresh this look is on Ms Millian. Even if it was accessorised with a black clutch…
The beautiful Angela Bassett showed off her new bangs and toned body in a La Petite Robe by Chiara Boni cap sleeve dress at the 2014 Paleyfest event. We really like the pretty fan print and how Ms Bassett paired it with a punchy green clutch. #Welldone.
Nollywood starlet, Stephanie Linus had the paparazzi snapping wildly at the Vlisco Women’s Month event in Lagos over the weekend, wearing a knee-length dress made with the Dutch wax company’s print, paired with blood red stilettos. This is one woman who clearly knows what to do with print.
Shakira went sultry for the 2014 Echo Awards in Berlin, wearing a Zuhair Murad Fall ’14 dress with nude silk and black embroidery. We love her hair swept one side and her minimal makeup look.
And last on our list this week is burlesque star Dita Von Teese, who attended MOCA’s 35th anniversary celebration in LA, rocking her signature red lip and retro waves with a pretty, lilac Maria Lucia Hohan dress and an Alexander McQueen knuckle clutch. Going matchy-matchy with her jewels, Von Tease accessorised with lilac-stone earrings and looked perfection.
