Over the weekend, the second edition of one of the biggest awards in the African film industry, Africa’s Movie Viewer’s Choice Awards, held in Lagos, bringing out the best from the world of film.
Though SPICE was on ground to talk to guests and report on the event, we were also spying on the many amazing outfits that turned out to the AMVCAs, and you can see our pick of the most memorable looks, below in our top ten;
Genevieve Nnaji kept her look simple and ladylike in an embellished Jewel by Lisa piece, which we just had to list, for the sheer quirkiness of it.
Another standout look we loved came from Seyi Shay in Elizabeth Waldorf. Doesn’t she look magnificent in her metallic dress? #Want
Print on print pleased us on Uti Nwachukwu. As usual, this guy turned up stylish and we were reminded just how much we appreciate a man who knows how to dress…
Here’s Rita Dominic in Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, looking stunning with red lipstick to match her dress.
Of course our beautiful presenter Elma Godwin made the list, with her 20s glam Sally Bawa dress with modern, asymmetrical cut.
Oh Tonye! Singer Tonye Garrick stole the red carpet (and our hearts) with this show-some-skin-but-cover-the-rest-up number. And her makeup? Just flawless – her hair too. #LoveIt
This is the ultimate example of perfect makeup paired with a beautiful dress. Rocking a well-detailed blue gown by Isi Atagamen, media personality, Liz Yemoja stole the show.
Agbani Darego kept it simple yet elegant while debuting box braids for the first time on any red carpet. We are in love.
Actor/model IK Ogbonna brought some drama to the AMVCAs, and we can’t help but rate his confidence. A cane? Why not!
And finally, Jocelyn made our list, turning up as a princess for the night, in this soft pink lace number. Just beautiful, don’t you agree?
So there you have it, our top ten looks from the AMVCAs. Is your favourite on our list? Share yours with us on Twitter or Instagram via @SpiceTVAfrica
Agbani and Tonye were my favs! Elma’s what a pretty face!
