Fashion weeks kicked off all over at the beginning of this month and it has been days of glittering style moments ever since – lucky us!
From admirable street style to celebrities making the rounds on the red carpets, we’e seen stars showing off their hot bodies (and their wardrobes) everywhere from runway shows and film festivals to fashion events – and all over the globe too.
Check out 10 of the best looks we’ve seen from September so far in our first Red Carpet Roundup of the month;
Media Mogul Mo Abudu stepped out for her 50th birthday party in Lagos on Saturday 13th September, wearing an Oscar de la Renta Autumn/Winter’14 ready to wear gown. Pairing the embroidered, strapless, ruffled, high-low dress with diamond earrings, an ornate gold clutch and an elegant up’do, we think Ms Abudu looked stunning. Agreed?
And equally as gorgeous was Rita Dominic in her Yutees Couture dress, which she rocked with jewels from Butterfly Jewellery Nigeria. Royal shades have definitely been a good thing so far this September.
We loved Laverne Cox’s chic peplum dress and Valentino pumps, which she wore to the InStyle 20th anniversary party. The beauty showed off her pins and her figure flawlessly in this LPD (Little Printed Dress) and had us itching to shop for something similar.
But #Wow! Did you see Angela Simmons wearing CLAN at the Art Hearts Fashion Show, presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation? This sky blue peplum dress, which the star rocked with a pair of Kandee pumps, looked amazing on her young body and we definitely know who we want to go shopping with next time she’s in town…
And showing us what to aspire to look like when we are 40 years old, is Naomi Campbell who stepped out shimmering and sparkling at the Badgley Mischka Spring/Summer’15 show this week. The supermodel wore a strapless, embellished number from the brand and represented it (and all things fierce and feminine) flawlessly.
From one supermodel to another, we’re envying Jourdan Dunn who slayed on the first day of London Fashion Week Spring/Summer’15, wearing a sexy, one-sleeved dress to the Maybelline New York party at Tredwell’s. We love the new blonde hair and we love the asymmetrical dress. That zip though, we’re sure guys would love to have seen left undone a little more…
Jennifer Lopez showed off her hot, toned legs in a Versace thigh-split number during Fashion Rocks 2014, presented by Three Lions Entertainment at the Barclays Center of Brooklyn in New York. The gold embellishment, the cutouts… it all screamed JLO and for sure, she didn’t disappoint by stepping out in this super sexy gown.
Stripping it back, Nicki Minaj was also in attendance at Fashion Rocks 2014, choosing to show off some cleavage in a simple, black Versace number. The star upped the ante in some embellished shoe boots that – if she’s not careful – we might just steal for ourselves…
And June Ambrose attended the Donna Karan New York 30th Anniversary Fashion Show during New York’s Spring/Summer’15 Fashion Week, wearing Donna Karan New York, of course. Purple is definitely this woman’s colour, as it bounced off her beautiful complexion with stunning results. The sheer detailing and white nails just made this look though.
Lastly, Crystal Renn had our favourite look of the week, which she wore to Harper’s Bazaar’s Icons event in NYC. The star chose a dramatic and different approach for the red carpet, rocking a gray satin Zac Posen gown with matching cape, finished off with bold brows, deep plum lips and a pinned-back, retro-inspired hairdo. Stunning or what?!
