Nigeria’s premier vintage boutique, Retrospective has launched into the world of e-tail, with its stock now exclusively sold online at Jumia.
The Nigerian online shopping portal is set to sell the brand’s vast range of men’s and women’s retro-wear, which will include the beloved Lagos-based boutique’s one-off, designer-signed pieces, plus perfectly preserved vintage goods from eras gone by, including shoes, jewels and accessories.
Retrospective is owned by our own SPICE girl, Pepper Okwesa-Chikezie, who first answered Nigeria’s call for vintage back in ??, with the country’s first ever dedicated vintage store in Surelere. Since relocating to a second site on Victoria Island, Ms Okwesa-Chikezie’s brand has dressed stars like King Zamir, Omotola Jalade, Tonto Dikeh and Temi Doll Face, with its success story culminating now with news of its exclusive partnership with Jumia.
The fashion expert, businesswoman and vintage pro explained;
“We are thrilled to offer our unparalleled collection of authentic vintage and retro products directly to a nationwide audience through Jumia, and we are excited about how the platform is evolving to provide a more holistic and style savvy experience for our customers.”
While we at SPICE are already busy thinking all things ‘celebration’ this month on the site, we’re super-pleased with news of Retrospective’s new e-store on Jumia – shop it here to get ahold of the best of the bygone eras, delivered straight to your doorstep, too.
