Mega babe, Rihanna – real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty – just came for Kanye’s shine, debuting her Fenty x Puma collection at New York Fashion Week, and sending press and social media into a total frenzy.
The Anti singer, who is also creative director and campaign star of the sports brand, sent models down the ramp wearing what looks like signature Rih sassiness via suped-up sports staples; oversized hoodies, mesh bodysuits, layers of choker necklaces, pulled up socks and all sorts of footwear – from lace up heels to chunky boots.
Starring in the showcase were model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, natrulista Maria Borges, curly cutie Iman Hammam, plus Ivorian-French model-to-watch Aya Jones, and Rihanna’s former rumoured beau (and “We Found Love” video co-star) Dudley O’Shaughnessy.
All took to the ramp in a swept back, white-splashed ‘do by hairstylist Yusef, with vampy lips by Pat McGrath and matching monochrome nail art.
The show drew the finest fashion crowd there is, with supermodel Naomi Campbell, designer Jeremy Scott, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and rapper Wale amongst others on the Frow.
Celebrity stylist Ugo Mozie also hit the front row for the showcase, capturing the model parade for his Instagram, captioning;
“This Collection Bangs! Bravo @Rihanna & @Puma. #fentyxpuma #NYFW”
The Barbadian took her bow on stage, with her crew going wild in celebration.
Backstage though, Rihanna had fun becoming a British interviewer, talking to makeup artist Pat McGrath, and stopped to share a kiss with Naomi Campbell.
Later, the singer shared this pic to her Instagram, captioning;
“It’s a wrap! Thank you @PUMAsquad. The debut #FENTYxPUMAcollection is coming!”
It’s reported that the Autumn/Winter’16 line will drop in September, and no doubt fans and fashion insiders will be queuing up to cop a piece.
