Top bae, Rihanna has been super busy lately, slaying Fashion Week with her Fenty x Puma collection and dropping not one but two videos for her new track “Work” – something that’s clearly unending for Rih, who has just been revealed as the coverstar of Vogue‘s April’16 issue and the new collaborator of Manolo Blahnik.
The singer has designed a limited edition capsule collection entitled “Denim Desserts”, which she is seen rocking inside Vogue‘s editorial (lensed by Craig McDean) along with complimentary embellished denim wear.
Following the announcement, famed designer Mr Blahnik himself, said of the collaboration;
“This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results – working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results.
I think everyone is going to love what they are about to see.”
As one could’ve guessed, Rih’s designs go from slayer-chic to riske, but all are made with denim and feature some sort of embellishment – from a cute and bedazzled strappy sandal, to a boot embroidered with a pattern inspired by her tattoos, and the more fetish-y, thigh-rising boot that actually buckles around the waist.
The singer told Vogue;
“Guuurrrl! Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.”
The range of heels comprises of six designs, priced from $895 to $3,995, which will be available to buy at select Manolo Blahnik stores across London, New York and Hong Kong. And of the first person she spots wearing them? Ms Fenty explained;
“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!”
With all this “work, work, work, work, work, work” in fashion and her moves in music, it looks like fans of the singer many more Rih moments to look forward to.
