Rihanna hasn’t been far from headlines since she dropped her highly awaited 8th album, Anti last week, but as well as winning fans over with her music, the star’s just won an American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) ‘Best Fashion and Beauty Cover of the Year’ award, for her March’15 Jaws-inspired cover for Harper’s Bazaar.
The winning cover, lensed by photographer Norman Jean, marked the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s iconic film, Jaws, and depicts Rih hanging lavishly from the shark’s mouth, mimicking a behind-the-scenes pic the director took while shooting his movie.
Ms Fenty revealed the news today via Instagram, saying;

The awards – headed by top editors, art directors and photo editors – also saw Caitlyn Jenner’s July’15 cover for Vanity Fair winning an award in the ‘Best Celebrity and Entertainment’ category, though Rih’s cover won double, by also being announced the winner of the “Public Choice” vote too.
We at SPICE love the cover (it goes down as one of our all time favourites, not just last year’s) and congratulate Rihanna on her ASME ‘Best Cover of the Year’ win.
