Pauline Cosmetics, a Kenyan cosmetics company – the second in the country – was founded by Nelly Tuikong in 2010 and has been redefining the way African women view and use make-up ever since, promoting cosmetics as a lifestyle rather than just a means to enhance one’s appearance. And, recognised for its fuss-free high quality products, professional beauty and grooming services, and its commitment to training women on how to master the art of make-up, the brand is now searching for a new face to represent them.
Teaming up with Kenyan modelling network, Msupa to search for the face of its upcoming nationwide ad campaign, Pauline Cosmetics have organised a virtual competition that will offer one lucky girl a cash prize, the chance to win a modelling contract with Msupa and a deal representing the beauty brand as its new ambassador.
Participants will be required to sign up to the Msupa network and, if shortlisted, garner as many votes in the form of ‘likes’ as possible, with eliminations occurring every two weeks. There will also be prizes in the interim stages, with opportunities for entrants to enhance their modelling careers via seminars and photoshoot sessions as the competition progresses.
In an interview with Standard Digital News, Tuikong described the idea behind the brand’s inception, saying;
“I wanted to create products that are uncomplicated because people don’t want make-up that takes an hour to get right. So, for instance, our lip gloss is a two-in-one; one side is a more muted shade suitable for the office, and the other side has a more dazzling colour for more casual events.”
Sounds like a great brand to be involved with. Those interested should head here for more information and to read the competition’s terms and conditions.
