While we gear up for this Summer’s sportsmania, with the launch of the 2016 Olympics in Rio, tennis wonder and four-time Olympic gold medalist, Serena Williams will star in a documentary about her life.
The original, feature-length documentary Serena is described as an “intimate portrait” of the icon, and will reveal the “pressures and vulnerabilities” the star faces in trying to achieve four consecutive Grand Slams. The doc will also reveal the behind-the-scenes of her losses at the 2015 US Open and 2016 Australian Open.
Fans of Serena, her work ethos, her style and her fabulous body will be pleased to see a little of her personal life is also revealed, with feature of her family, friends and coaches also included.
Produced by Peter Berg, Matthew Goldberg and Brandon Carroll, and directed by Ryan White, Serena will debut on June 22nd on Epix.
