Sarah Jessica Parker gave us all a jaw-dropping moment when she hit fashion’s most extravagant event – Anna Wintour’s MET Gala, where she stole the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in an Oscar de la Renta gown alongside her date for the night, Andy Cohen.
The dress brought delightful drama with its peplum petals and train, which she wore with elegant white diamond encrusted gloves.
A veteran of the Gala, Sarah is also a trusted co-chair of the event and always sticks to its strict dress code and works the night’s theme, which this year celebrated Anglo-American couturier, James Charles.
The back view of the dress was quite striking with an Oscar de la Renta signature on the tail.
Her stylist had the dramatic dress in mind but softened her hair with an up ‘do and floral accents.
Smokey eyes and a unique double chignon were the perfect combination to compliment the striking ensemble and we were pretty impressed with how it all made for a memorable look.
This Oscar de la Renta gown would have been hard to pull off on any other occasion – or any other actress – but since this really is reminiscent of her Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, it looked effortless, stunning and so right for the event.
