Crocs were somewhat considered as a fashion abomination. These foamy rubber ish comfort foot wear is an American foot ware brand founded in 2002 by Scott Seamans, Lydon DukeHanson and George Boedecker, jr.
When London based, Scottish designer Christopher Kane debuted his Christian Kane x Crocs shoes, in his SS17 collection, it meet a lot of mixed reviews. Well we can say that the new revamped crocs look a tad prettier with the crystal rocks on them, some people still believe the shoes look hideous and should remain a fashion No.. No.
“I always work with unexpected items and combinations, transforming the everyday into desirable luxury. I wanted to bring my own stamp and DNA to Crocs’ classic clog and achieve something really special”. Christopher Kane.
The collection has earthy features like marble designs, pretty earthy mineral stones, and subtle colors.
Looks aside, Crocs are actually one of the most comfortable foot wears ever. They are super light and easy to wear. Also we must address the fact that Crocs on kids are the most adorable, but the challenge and judgement comes when a grown person decides to throw it on.
Christopher Kane announced the release of the second edition of his collab with Crocs last week. The second edition of the Christopher Kane x Crocs collection is available in limited quantities. They come in honey, avocado, ochre and black colourways, each featuring a tiger print and embellished with feathers, as opposed to the marble design in the first collection. The Crocs are priced at £64.99.
For Christopher Kane to go ahead to release a second edition, it means one thing; the first collection did pretty well.
First or second collection aside, would you be caught rocking them?
