Ombre nails have been around for a while but still remain a fashionista favourite since they make such a style statement, without being overbearing or overly complicated to create.
And the freedom to go crazy with colours is endless; you can use a combination of neons for a more dramatic effect, or keep your tips looking sweet and demure by using pastel shades.

Directions:
1. First, paint your entire nail using your lightest chosen colour and then leave it to dry.
2. Next, take your second darkest colour and make sure there’s barely any polish on the brush. Then, lightly stroke a coat onto the nail, stopping two thirds of the way up, allowing the coat to smear a little bit.
3. Taking a third shade (the darkest), repeat step 2 but use even less polish so you don’t end up with a neat or straight line. Also, be sure to stop coating the nail half way up.
4. Finish the look with a top coat to smooth out any bumps and to create a more blended appearance.
