Arise Fashion week may have ended but the trends that came along with it, is about to see the new seasons day light. It’s fresh off the runway, and it’s everything African fashion needs at the moment. Take a look at our top eight trends from the runway
Asooke is a hand loomed cloth woven by the Yoruba people of western Nigeria, this fabric was first used in making mens gowns known as Agbada and women’s wrappers known as Iro, it was also used in making men’s hat called fila. This fabric has evolved overtime, as it is the pride of the Yoruba people. This season, Aso-oke was spotted on the runway by various designers. Re’s entire collection was made from Asooke, Asooke is definitely a must have this season.
Enormous summer hats
