#Trend to Try: Unabashed Under-Eye Liner

While Team SPICE is still on ‘Movement’ this month on the site, we couldn’t help but notice Spring/Summer’s new placement of eyeliner, which has moved from a simple swish along the top lash line, to the under-eye area.

The trend was spied on catwalks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, where statement-making stripes of colour were spread along the lower lash line, leaving an look of eccentricity to models and us with the urge to try it.

And it’s not just models we’ve spied rocking the look either, with the movement being championed by celebrities, too;

Want to try this look out yourself? We love Nicholas K’s take on the trend, with the label sending models out with an upside-down version of the much-loved cat eye liner.

Just follow these 3 simple steps below to nail it;

1. After finishing your complexion, start on the eye by using a bronzing powder across the eye lid. Finish with a slightly darker shade of bronzer or metallic shadow in the crease. We like NYX’s “Tango” Bronzer, $10 here.

2. Next, line the upper and lower lash lines with a gel eyeliner, creating a downward point at the inner corner and extending out into a wing at the outer corner. Try Rimmel London’s, £6.99 here.

3. Finish eyes with a swipe of mascara to the bottom lashes and inner corner of the top lashes.

And there you have it – on trend eyes that’ll shake up your regular beauty routine! But what do you think – will you be joining the new liner movement?
