Tuesday 10: Bad Asses 3 Actress Deborah Ayorinde Shares Her Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

Beautiful actress, model and business owner, Deborah Ayorinde has already shared her makeup fantasies, thoughts and feelings with us at SPICE (which you can find, here), and now she is sharing her top beauty bag must-haves. Enjoy;

1) Loreal’s RevitaLift Miracle Blur, $24.99

The first time I tried this product was when a makeup artist used it on me for a photo shoot and I have been in love with it ever since. I use it as a primer on a clean moisturised face, before applying my make up.

2) MAC Cosmetics’ “Ruby Woo” lipstick, $16

What I love about this lipstick is that no matter what shade you are, you can achieve a perfect red lip with it. I have found that whenever I see a woman with perfect red lipstick I approach her and say “let me guess, Ruby Woo?” And she will almost always say “yes.”

3) Neutrogena’s exfoliating body wash, £3.79

I am big on keeping my skin fresh and exfoliated. This body wash does just that for me.

4) Exfoliating bath and shower gloves$4.96

I immediately felt the difference in how my skin felt shortly after I started using exfoliating gloves in the shower with my soap or body wash in place of a body scrub or a washcloth.I recommend you try it.

5) Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding$10.24

Firstly, I love this product because of its scent. When I use it in my hair I get tons of compliments. But I also love this product because I’ve found that it is effective in helping me style my naturally kinky, curly hair without leaving it crunchy or leaving it with buildup.

6) Flexi-rods$11.49

If you don’t know, you’d better ask somebody! These things are one of the best things since sliced bread. I have them in various sizes to achieve different curl patterns and they are great to use in place of a curling iron (to give your hair a rest from heat) and/or to hold a particular style.

7) Mac Cosmetics’ lip liner in “Chesnut,” $15

This is my favourite lip liner, hands down. It gives me a pop of lip definition when worn alone and helps me bring together a more glamorous look when worn with a lip colour. It is my go-to lip liner.

8) Iman Cosmetics’ oil control pressed powder$29.99

The legendary supermodel Iman has done a great job of creating quality make up products especially for women of colour. I keep her oil control pressed powder on hand to give me a fresh matte look that lasts throughout the day.

9) Stella by Stella McCartney’s eau de parfum£53

This is one of my all time favourite perfumes. I just love its scent.

10) Great Lash mascara$5.99

Most of the makeup artists I have met swear by this mascara. It is inexpensive and does the trick. Try it.
