Infamous fashion designer Valentino Garavani has announced the upcoming release of a new book – Valentino: At the Emperor’s Table, said to document his impeccable taste in glamour – that is, when it comes to his decadently adorned properties and way of throwing parties.
With photographs by Oberto Gili, the tome, set for release later this year, will offer insider-access to Valentino’s star-studded soirées as well as provide details of the designer’s “general appreciation for beauty” – the book following his partner Giancarlo Giammetti’s photographic book, Private, which focused on similar things and was released last year.
In the book, Valentino explains;
“I am very often alone and enjoying my houses… Entertaining 30 or one is the same; the food has to be on a beautiful plate.”
Readers can expect further insight into the inner-workings of the designer’s personal spaces as well as see inside the designer’s homes in Gstaad and London, and his famed property Château de Wideville, which resides just outside of Paris.
