The 21 Grand slam winner with net worth of 75million dollars is expanding her renowned active wear brand to Africa. Venus Williams needs no introduction at all, apart from being the first African-American to be ranked number one in the era of open tennis, she is also the 2nd highest earning female athlete behind her pregnant sister, Serena Williams(so much wealth in a family).
EleVen is an active wear brand founded in 2012 by Venus Williams, it is so far one of the most widely accepted active wear in the market. Recently, Venus made it clear that she was expanding her clothing line thus the collaboration with a African based creative talent Agency, ‘Temple Management Company‘.
On Tuesday, Koye Sowemimo, head of sports for the talent agency made a press statement in Lagos Nigeria, stating that the partnership was a natural fit, according to him “We are delighted to bring a global quality brand such as EleVen by Venus Williams to Nigeria, Venus needs very little introduction to the Nigerian market not only as a global icon in the sport of tennis, but from her last visit in 2012. We look forward to growing the brand in Nigeria and across Africa.”
We can not stop thinking about the massive impact it would have ion the Nigerian fashion industry, this means we are definitely going global, don’t you think so?
Venus Williams and TMC are yet to announce to the public the set date for the debut of EleVen in Nigeria, Africa. We sincerely hope for the best and greater investments in the Nigerian Fashion Industry.
