This season, it seems white is the ‘new’ black, with the head-to-toe white-wearing trend upstaging the ‘all black everything’ mantra. And, with Team SPICE celebrating all things Summer this month, we can’t help but notice the pure, crisp, neutral shade cropping up on our favourite stars…
With the trend hitting red carpets and runways alike, shown off by top celebs left right and centre, why not follow the herd with your own all-white look? It works no matter the weather and can be worn day or night, as proved by these fashion-savvy stars;
African-American actress, Regina Hall was nothing short of immaculate at the 2014 BET Awards that took place in LA last month. The 43 year old beauty (yes, 43!) looked on point in a spotless all white trouser suit with a plunging neckline, showing off her cool body chain and a enviable cleavage. The star finished the look with black heeled sandals, a black clutch and neat bobbed hair, which allowed the suit to steal the limelight. We at SPICE are so in awe of this look, as it had just the right amount of sexy and sophisticated for such an anticipated award show, held in the scorching Californian heat.
And across the pond, Australian fashion week saw Ajak Deng strut her stuff on the runway for fashion designer, Alice McCall’s Spring/Summer’15 collection. The Sudanese-Australian model sported all white pieces from the line, which looked great against her gorgeously dark skin. Ms Deng wore a white bikini top, a white knitted see-through vest and a pair of petal shaped shorts. The model also rocked tan sandals – keeping the look neutral – as she showcased a look that’s suitable for days out enjoying the sun.
Lastly, another model to stun in blanc, is Chanel Iman who wore a silk Calvin Klein Spring/Summer’14 slip dress to the amfAR gala in New York earlier this year, looking as expected – amazing. The popular model looked effortlessly gorgeous and graceful in this simple gown, which she complimented with a sleek ponytail and of course, her pretty face.
