The 1930’s trend which made a popular comeback in 2012 has been going strong ever since and has proved to be a favourite on and off the red carpet, too, with many household names frequently caught wearing the frilly design in various locations.

One of the most prominent names in Nollywood and Africa, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde went for a flirty formal look to a fundraising dinner for the youth-led organisation, Enough is Enough Nigeria. The beauty sported a sleeveless, bubblegum pink, peplum midi dress and pink platforms for the Genevieve Magazine and Veuve Clicquot “Fashion & Style Day Out” event, to which she also donned a navy blue fascinator with embellishments that balanced on her straight long locks. #Gorgeous!
