This weekend, the Cocktails & Dresses “Made-in-Africa” event held alongside Dressmeoutlet.com’s official launch, marking the first edition of the bi-annual fashion exhibition.
Taking place over the bank holiday, on Sunday, May 22nd 2016, guests were treated to a completely ‘revamped’ setting at the Grand Ball Room of Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos, created by Chronique Events who turned the venue into a fashion gallery. On showcase were plenty of high-quality pieces by new and well-known African designers, including bags, shoes, accessories and beauty products too.
Cocktails and Dresses is an industry event organised by the “Fashion Amazon of Africa”, Dressmeoutlet.com and its debut exhibition was hosted by Coolfm OAP Kaylah Oniwo and our very own Idia Aisien (presenter of Style 101 and Rock the Runway) who hit the black carpet looking elegant in a dress by Amarelis and a clutch from Mobos Fashion.
Idia spoke to Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, Hon. (Mrs.) Lola Akande, Mrs Oyinda Ogunsawo, Olatorera Oniru-CEO Dressmeoutlet, Kate Henshaw, Chief Majekodunmi, Stephanie Coker, and many others, for The Red Carpet Show.
