#WIW: Fashionable Mother, Stylist & Blogger Tanaka Matibiri Shares Her Style Diary with SPICE

Fashionable mother of two and styling consultant, Tanaka Matibiri has an obsession with clothes – especially those that are stocked at Zara.

Taking time out for good shoes and selfies, the busy yummy mummy is sharing her week in style with us at SPICE, proving that having children as well as a shopping addiction is possible…

Take a look below at Tanaka’s effortless ensembles, but for advice on your own mothering wardrobe (and that of your trendy toddler’s), you can check out her style tips, here.

We do hope you enjoy;

Here I was Monday, off to a press event in a Zara skirt, shirt and necklace, Office Shoes and a Topshop ring.

A statement necklace really lifts any outfit and I love how fresh this one made my whole look feel.

This is me on Tuesday morning, dropping little Judah in nursery before dashing off to a business meeting. I’m wearing Zara pants and top, Massimo Dutti shoes and carrying (via buggy) a Mulberry handbag.

I obsessed over these pants for a while and then snapped them up in the sale; I love the Audrey Hepburn feel they have and teamed with my bow pumps I feel extra feminine.

On Wednesday, I had a work meeting followed by a hot date with my hubby at our fave Italian restaurant! Swapping work bag for a clutch, I wore a shirt, some shorts and a necklace – all Zara – accessorised by a Karen Millen bag and Massimo Dutti shoes.

 I have a little obsession with tan coloured leather goods and this handbag is one I bought from Karen Millen with my first graduate pay cheque! I still have it and love it. I like this look as I can just whip out my blingy clutch from my desk at work and voila, I’m date-ready!

Thursday was my best friend’s birthday cocktails, where I wore a Reiss blouse, Zara shorts and Kurt Geiger pumps.

I was pregnant when Zara were selling these shorts but I bought them anyway! Pregnancy is a great time to buy things and stash as you can then wear them long after everyone has worn theirs to death! I love to team mine with a silk blouse as the texture really comes out.

That Friday feeling! Here I am, off to meet a new client before going for drinks and the cinema. I’m wearing Zara jeans, Polo Ralph Lauren shirt and a pair of Kurt Geiger pumps.

Denim on denim is one of my fail-safe looks and I love dressing things up with these leopard print pumps.

Saturday was mummy-daughter date day, and here we are in our matching stripes! Morayo-Hope wears Zara dress and tights, Converse trainers and GAP coat. I’m wearing a Topshop jumper, pair of Zara jeans and coat.

I try to avoid mini-me outfits as much as possible, but sometimes I just can’t resist! I love breton stripes and couldn’t wait to buy this dress for MH. I find this look simple but elegant and perfect for looking chic while chasing a runaway toddler in the park!

On Sunday, I was out at a baby shower afternoon tea, wearing Zara trousers and top, Office shoes and a vintage clutch.

White is tricky to wear with a baby and toddler, so whenever I can escape I take the chance to wear it. Teamed with last autumn’s berry, it’s a happy marriage of the opposing season’s hottest colours.
