On the 26th of June 1988, in the Manzini district of Swaziland, a star was born – Amanda du-Pont. She was born to Henry du-Pont, son of Princess Ncabile who was the niece of King Sobhuza. But Amanda would make a name for herself beyond her royal heritage, she would become one of the most influential South African personalities, as an actress, a television and events host, a model and a voice over artist.
Nowadays, Amanda is popularly known as an it-girl and the co-host of SABC 1’s The Real Goboza, but she’s had over ten years of on-screen experience; from her breakout as Serina on Life is Wild (2007) and her notorious role as Thabisile Dlamini on Muvhango (2009) to a big 2014 where she played the leading role of Nisha (a ruthless gold digger) in the South African feature film Between Friend and Christelle in the South African crime drama Task Force. Between that time du-Pont was awarded a life-time achievement award in Swaziland, presented by the department of Arts and Culture; she obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance and a scholarship to the New York Film Academy where she received her diploma.
Aside from her achievements and acclaim in the world of acting, Amanda has had her hand in a number of charitable enterprises, for example annual food and clothing drives for homeless people in central Johannesburg. Her beautiful personality radiates from within, you can see it in her gorgeous appearance!
